If you have an adoptee centric resource that belongs on this page, please add it using the form below. And if we missed something important, please send us a message. This is not meant to be a finished list that sits untouched. It is meant to keep growing as our community grows, as new adoptee led spaces are created, new research is published, new books are written, new podcasts begin, and more adoptees step forward to build what so many of us desperately needed years ago.
This resource collection was updated on August 13, 2026, my 52nd birthday. I have spent hours upon hours gathering, reviewing, organizing, and compiling these resources, and somewhere along the way I realized that my birthday gift this year was not going to be something I gave myself. This is my gift to the adoptee community.
There is something deeply meaningful to me about bringing all of these resources together in one place. I remember when I first started searching for adoptee resources and there was nothing. NOTHING. I remember looking for people who understood, spaces where adoptees could speak freely, information that centered us, and something that could help me put words to experiences I had carried for years. So much of what exists today simply did not exist then.
And because of that, while working on this page, I could not stop thinking about the adoptees we have lost along the way. I wonder how many were searching too. I wonder how many needed a community, a resource, another adoptee’s words, or simply proof that someone else understood. I wonder what might have been different if something like Adoptee Remembrance Day existed then, or if a collection like this had been waiting for them when they went looking.
That is part of why this matters so much to me.
I also want to say something that I believe our community needs to hear. Adoptee advocacy cannot only be about promoting ourselves. I have seen resource pages where the only person being promoted is the person who created the page. I question that. There are far too many adoptees doing meaningful work for any one of us to behave as though our own work is the only work worth knowing about.
This is not a competition.
If we truly believe in supporting adoptees, then we have to support adoptee authors, researchers, podcasters, organizations, advocates, educators, creators, support spaces, projects, and community builders beyond ourselves. We should be updating our own resource pages. We should be linking to one another. We should be sending adoptees toward the people and places that might help them, even when those people and places have absolutely nothing to do with us.
That is community.
So to every adoptee, organization, advocate, researcher, author, podcaster, creator, and community builder represented on this page, congratulations, and thank you. Thank you for creating something that did not exist before. Thank you for adding another doorway for an adoptee to walk through when they go searching. Every one of these resources represents someone deciding that adoptees deserve more than what was available to us in generations past.

Make room for other adoptees doing this work. We become stronger when we stop guarding our individual corners and start building bridges between them.
